Getting started with Azzamo

Add the Azzamo relays to your Nostr client, host your media on Blossom and pick up a verified name. A short setup guide with no account required.

Azzamo gives your Nostr identity a reliable home: relays that stay up, media hosting that loads fast, and a verified name people can recognise. Nothing here needs an email address or a password. Everything attaches to the public key you already have.

1. Add the free relays

Open your client's relay settings and add these two:

wss://nostr.azzamo.net
wss://inbox.azzamo.net

The first is the general purpose relay, the front door for ordinary notes. The second is built for DMs and groups. Both are free for anyone to use and are rate limited for accounts without active Premium. Active Premium removes that rate limit and unlocks the three premium relays as well.

Most clients connect the moment you save. If a relay does not appear to respond, check it with the relay checker before assuming the client is at fault.

2. Turn on media hosting

Add this server in your client's media settings:

blossom.azzamo.media

Any Nostr client with Blossom support can upload to it. Files are stored redundantly across several locations, so one server having a bad day does not take your pictures offline, and they are served through a global CDN so they load quickly wherever your readers are.

3. Consider Premium

Premium is prepaid time, bought in sats, from one hour up to one year. While it is active you get:

  • No rate limits on the free relays, plus the EU, US and Asia Pacific premium relays
  • 10GB of Blossom storage with larger single file uploads
  • A verified NIP-05 address at @azzamo.network
  • A permanent archive of your notes
  • Permanent inbox storage for DMs and groups
  • A much higher accepted note size

There is nothing to cancel. When you stop topping up, it runs out.

4. Keep your key safe

Your nsec is your identity and there is no recovery if it leaks or is lost. Store it in a password manager or a dedicated signer, and connect apps through a NIP-07 browser extension or a NIP-46 bunker rather than pasting the raw key. Azzamo never asks for it, and no honest service ever will.
